SKY -shrink sleeve labeling machines for cups

Rotary machine for the application of shrink sleeves on individual or multipacks of cups even after filling. Yogurt and milk-based desserts are delicate products that should not be manipulated, overturned or overheated. The shrink sleeve labeller SKY is able to insert the label from below and shrink it very quickly so that the product itself is not heated. The labeller can be inserted in any FS or FFS lines, whatever the configuration of the cups coming out of the FFS or FS is.
The machine consists of:

1) Cup conveyor from FS / FFS to the labeller
2) Cup pick-up and loading on the machine
3) Carousel of shuttles for cups transport and sleeve feeding
4) Sleeve pre-cutting unit
5) Head for feeding and separating of the single sleeves
6) Steam shrinking system

  • Application from the bottom upwards (“from bottom up” cups labeling) it is not necessary to overturn the containers coming out of the filling machines.
  • The system is able to label groups of several cups (2,4,6 etc.) without having to separate them one from the another, thus creating multipacks.
  • Different versions developed: 1.Before the cutting of the cups, to be integrated into the FFS machine 2. At the outfeed of the FFS or FS machine, mechanically connected but independent to the filler cycle 3. Downstream of the filler, at any point of the line (for example after the tray packer). In this case the machine will pick up the cups from their tray and re-insert them in the original tray again after labeling.
  • Possibility to graphically cover the entire outer surface of the cup.
  • Extremely accurate positioning of the label because it is transferred with a progressive and mechanically determined movement with absolutely precise final positioning, which is maintained even in the shrinking phase, immediately after, allowing to partially position the label under the base completely eliminating the SMILE effect.
  • The “accompanying” system of the sleeve allows the use of very thin material (20 mµ).
  • Low consumption
  • The reduced exposure time to heat and the minimum amount of steam required for shrinking, allow containers to be processed even with very thin walls.
  • Quick and simple adjustments allow you to work cups with the same top section but different heights (see photo)
